This petition has been filed seeking to condone the delay of 227 days in filing the Civil Miscellaneous Appeal.

Mr.P.Shanmugasundaram, the learned counsel who appeared on behalf of the first respondent, submitted that he has no objection to this petition being allowed.

Further, the learned counsel appearing on either side submitted that if the matter is referred to the National Lok Adalat, there is a likelihood of settlement between the parties.

The reasons adduced in the affidavit filed in support of this petition being satisfactory, this Civil Miscellaneous Petition is ordered and consequently, the delay of 227 days in filing the appeal is condoned.

The Registry is directed to number the Civil Miscellaneous Appeal, if it is, otherwise, in order and list the same before the National Lok Adalat scheduled to be held on 13.06.2026. It is made clear that no notice will be sent to the parties and that the parties have to appear before the National Lok Adalat on 13.06.2026.
