ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner seeking revocation of order of suspension.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner was working as Tahsildar. A complaint was lodged by one Aravindan, alleging that the petitioner demanded a sum of Rs.42,000/- for issuance of building license in the name of Little Ville Premium Pre-School. On the said complaint, the Inspector of Police, Vigilance and Anti Corruption Department, Krishnagiri, registered an FIR in Crime No.01/AC/2023 for the offences under Section 7(a) of the Prevention of Corruption Act 1988. Pursuant to the registration of the FIR, the petitioner was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 14.02.2023. The petitioner was deemed to have been suspended from the date of his arrest by an order dated 16.02.2023. So far the petitioner was not served with any charge memo and investigation is also pending on the file of the Inspector of Police, Vigilance and Anti Corruption Department, Krishnagiri in Crime No.01/AC/2023. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation for revocation of his suspension.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent is directed to dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner in the light of the G.O.Ms.No.66, dated 06.07.2022 and G.O.Ms.No.81, dated 08.04.2022 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
