Mr.J.Ramesh, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner has come up with the present writ petition, for a mandamus, directing the respondent to consider and pass orders on her application dated 07.02.2018 and consequently direct the respondent to issue patta in her favour, for the Plot No.16, Kadappery Village, West Tambaram, Kancheepuram District.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has submitted an application dated 07.02.2018 to the respondent, seeking issuance of patta in her name. Since no order has been passed, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent on instructions submitted that the application of the petitioner would be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

In the light of the limited scope of the matter, having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 07.02.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as all the necessary parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
