O R D E R

It is the case of the petitioner that she is the daughter in law of the 3rd respondent. The 3rd respondent has made a complaint before the respondents against the petitioner under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior

Citizen Act, 2007. The second respondent, vide order dated 04.01.2019, passed an order directing the petitioner to pay a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- towards debt incurred by the petitioners husband from the 3rd respondent along with a sum of Rs.65,000/- towards her share in the monetary benefits received by the petitioner. Challenging the said order, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. Today, when the matter came up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submitted that the during pendency of this petition, the third respondent passed away and therefore, relief sought for herein has become infructuous and hence, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition.

3. In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. 23.03.2023 rli To
