This petition has been filed to call for the records in connection with Cr.No.897 of 2014 pending on the file of the Inspector of Police, F-2 Egmore, and quash the same in respect of the petitioners/Accused 1 to 3 herein.
2. For the sake of convenience, the parties will be referred to by their name.
3. On the complaint lodged by Joseph Henry, the respondent police have registered a case in Cr.No.897 of 2014 under Sections 147, 363, 365, 342 and 385 IPC against the petitioners herein, for quashing which, this petition has been filed on the ground that the parties have arrived at a compromise.
4. Today, Joseph Henry, the de facto complainant is present and is identified by Ms.P.Anthonyselvi, WPC 27713, F2, Egmore Police Station. Joseph Henry has filed an affidavit dated 18.06.2018, wherein, he has stated as follows: https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
"7. I humbly submit, having long standing business relations and by considering the fact that both are in the same industry; the parties herein does not want to precipitate the issues further, with a good intention of maintaining a cordial business relationship with each other, as earlier. In view of an amicable settlement brought forth, at the instance of friends and well-wishers, the parties herein have desired and decided to give a goodbye to the pending litigations and to get compounded the pending criminal complaints; and also reduced the same into writing, by way of compromise deed dated 19.04.2017."
In view of the above, this petition is allowed and the prosecution in Cr.No.897 of 2014 is hereby quashed as against all the accused.
