Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS, to call for the records relating to the detention order passed by the 4th respondent pertaining to the order made in C.M.P.No.1/Black Marketer/Salem City/2017 dated 02.05.2017 in detaining the detenu under Section 7 of the Prevention of Black Marketing and Maintenance of Supplies of Essential Commodities Act, 1980, as a Black Marketer and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu Kesavan, aged 32 years, S/o.Vairavel, who is detained at Central Prison, Salem, before this Hon'ble Court and set him at liberty.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to call for the records relating to the detention order passed in C.M.P.No.1/Black Marketer/Salem City/2017 dated 02.05.2017 by the Detaining Authority against the detenue by name, Kesavan, aged 32 years, S/o.Vairavel, residing at No.163, Thavantheru, Uthandikadu, Poolampatti Road, Edappadi, Salem District and quash the same.

2. It is represented on the side of the respondents that the Detention Order in question has already been revoked, by virtue of G.O.Rt.No.161 dated 22.06.2017 and a copy of the same is submitted, wherein, it is clearly stated that the Detention Order in question has been revoked.

3. Considering the above said factual circumstances, the relief sought in the petition has become infructuous.
