The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent herein to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's application dated 23.03.2016 for the renewal of contract carriage permit in respect of vehicle No.PY 02 K 0929 permitted to ply on the route Dharmapuram to Vanjore for the period from 15.04.2016 to 14.04.2021 forthwith. 2.Mrs.D.Reena Iswariya, learned Additional Government Pleader (Pondy) taking notice for the respondent submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's application and pass orders in accordance with law. 3.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 23.03.2016 and pass orders on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With this observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
