This Court, by its order, dated 04.01.2024 in Crl.O.P.Nos.29271 and 29269 of 2023 issued a direction to the learned XV Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai to dispose of C.C.No.12647 of 2006 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. However, the same was not complied. Hence, the present petition has been filed by the petitioner/A9, since the trial is yet to be completed.

2. Heard both sides.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the affidavit filed by the petitioner in support of this petition, this Court is inclined to grant further period of four months to dispose of C.C.No.12647 of 2006 and the learned XV Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai is directed to dispose of C.C.No.12647 of 2006 within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. Accordingly, this petition is ordered.
