ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to register an FIR on the petitioner's complaint dated 22.12.2014 and proceed against the accused.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. It is represented by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that on the complaint given by one Devendra Singh, the respondent police have registered a case in Cr.No.674 of 2015 against this petitioner, who has been shown as A1. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the said Devendra Singh lodged a complaint dated 12.01.2015 before the respondent police on 12.05.2015 in respect of an incident that allegedly took place on 10.12.2014, on which the respondent police have registered a case in Cr.No.674 of 2015, but whereas, no action has been taken on the complaint dated 22.12.2014 given by the petitioner. It is seen that this petitioner has given the complaint dated 22.12.2014 to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ambattur. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits the Deputy Superintendent of Police has not received the complaint.

5. Under such circumstances, the petitioner is directed to go in person and lodge a fresh complaint in writing before the Inspector of Police and on such receipt, the respondent police shall enquire the same and take action in accordance with the law laid down by the Honourable Apex Court in Lalita Kumari vs. Govt. of U.P. & others [2013 (4) Crimes 243 (SC)].

This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
