Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the sixth respondent to take over the investigation in Crime No.2842/2014 on the file of the fifth respondent herein and investigate the case by adding the appropriate provision under the SC/ST Act 1989, within the time frame fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed to direct the sixth respondent to take over the investigation in Crime No.2842 of 2014 on the file of the fifth respondent herein and investigate the case by adding the appropriate provision under the SC/ST Act 1989, within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the FIR in Crime No.2842 of 2014 pending on the file of the fifth respondent police has been enquired and the same was closed as 'Further Action dropped' and the closure report has also been sent to the fourth respondent ie., the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Madhavaram Police Station, Chennai.

3. Considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), the fifth respondent is directed to file the closure report before the Judicial Magistrate Court No.II, Ponneri and also serve a copy of the same to the petitioner herein.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
