By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition, to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to number the petition pending on the file of Joint Commissioner of HR & CE, Coimbatore.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has filed a petition before the respondent for framing of a Scheme. However, the same has not yet been numbered by the respondent even after a lapse of one year.

4. Mr.M.Maharaja, learned Special Government Pleader (HR & CE), taking notice for the respondent, submitted that the respondent may be directed to number the petition, if it is in order, within a period of one week.

5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to number the petition filed by the petitioner, if the papers are in order, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
