O R D E R

This petitioner has approached this Court seeking the following relief:

"Seeking for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 6 to give police permission and police protection for the 62th year family Deity (Kulatheivam worship for the Sri Arulmighu Sriperiyandavar Swamy in Thaiyur Village, Gingee Taluk on 25.08.2018 (Saturday) or any other subsequent date if this Court permits."

2. Though the petitioner has sought for a larger relief, when the matter is taken up for hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation 18.08.2018 which is pending before the respondents.

3. The learned Government Advocate on instructions submitted that in view of the very same aspect, a peace committee was conducted in the Police Station and the outcome of the Peace committee will be informed to the petitioner herein
