O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to dispose of the revision petitions filed by the petitioner in RP.Nos.324 to 326 of 2017 within a reasonable time.

2.The petitioner was a tenant under the 4th respondent in respect of the property situated at Block No.12, T.S.No.6/1,

6/2, 6/3, Plot No.21, 13A and 18, Door No.212, Jawaharlal Nehru Road, 100 Feet Road, Arumbakkam, Chennai. 3.The respective learned counsel for the respondents submitted that the prayer in the Writ Petition has become infructuous in view of the fact that the Revision Petitions, after being heard, is pending for pronouncing order by the 1st respondent.

4.The learned standing counsel for the 4th respondent has submitted that the petitioner has got huge arrears of rent to the extent of Rs.2,10,24,277/-. In view of the non-payment of the said amount for a long time, fair rent proceedings were initiated against the petitioner and the Revision Petitions filed by the petitioner is also heard and yet orders to be pronounced. In such view of the matter, the petitioner is not entitled for indulgence from this Court.

5.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 sought four weeks time for passing final orders.

6.In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, since the Revision Petitions have been heard and reserved for orders, the 1st respondent is directed to pass a final order within four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7.With these directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
