ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying to direct the respondent not to harass the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the petitioner's sister's son by name G.Arul @ Gnanaraj is said to have assaulted one Murugadass and on the complaint of the said Murugadass, the respondent Police have called this petitioner for enquiry.

4. Under such circumstances, no blanket orders of not to harass can be passed. If the petitioner is wanted either for enquiry or for interrogation, he can very well be summoned by the respondent police and while doing so, the petitioner shall not be harassed. At the same time, the petitioner should submit himself to the respondent for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

interrogation and enquiry. It is made clear that this order will not shield if the petitioner is involved in cognizable offence.

5. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
