By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition, to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the second respondent to implement the order passed by the first respondent, dated 22.02.2016 and thereby conduct election for the Needur Neivasal Jammia Masjid by secret ballot.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.V.Lakshmi Narayanan, learned counsel taking notice for the respondents submitted that the first respondent had already issued notification for the conduct of election and therefore, the relief sought for in the writ petition has become infructuous.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the respondent may be directed to complete the election process within a time frame.

5. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the respondents that the first respondent had already issued a notification for the conduct of the election, I do not find any reason to keep the writ petition pending and the same is closed. However, the respondents are directed to complete the election process, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
