This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking writ of mandamus directing the respondents to release the pensionary benefits of the petitioner including, Gratuity, Surrendered earned leave salary, Commutation with interest of 12 percent per annum, from the date of their retirement till the date of realization within a stipulated time fixed by this Honble Court in view of the judgement of the Honble Division Bench in W.A.No. 645 and 686 of 2025, dated 25.03.2025. Mr. V.Sivalingam Government Advocate R1 Mr. Nambi Arooran For M/s.Ajmal Associates R2 to R5 Order This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "To direct the respondents to release the pensionary benefits of the petitioner including, Gratuity, Surrendered earned leave salary, Commutation with interest of 12 percent per annum, from the date of their retirement till the date of realization within a stipulated time fixed by this Honble Court in view of the judgement of the Honble Division Bench in W.A.No. 645 and
686 of 2025, dated 25.03.2025."
2. Heard the learned counsels on the either side and perused the records.
3. In similar circumstances, Writ Petitions filed by similarly placed employees seeking pensionary benefits were allowed and the said order was confirmed by the Division Bench of this Court in W.A.Nos.645 and 686 of 2025, dated 25.03.2025. Since the issues raised in the present writ petition are squarely covered by the directions issued by the Division Bench of this Court, the respondents shall comply with the directions issued in W.A.Nos.645 and 686 of 2025, dated 25.03.2025, within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above direction, this writ petitions is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
