ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a direction to respondents to immediately restrict the opening of the TASMAC Retail Liquor Shop No.202 (Chennai North District) from No.783 A, 50/2, Thiruvottiyur High Road, Tollgate, New Washermanpet, Chennai- 600 081 (Ward-39).

2. We find that no cause of action has arisen to file the present writ petition in view of the fact that no permission/order has been issued by the competent authority to open the TASMAC Shop No.202. It appears that petitioner has already represented before the

competent authority.

3. The competent authority shall, while deciding the application to grant license, consider the representation of petitioner and pass necessary orders.

4. With the aforesaid, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the interim application is closed.
