Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents to produce the detenue Nivetha, wife of A.Anadhan, aged about 25 years, bodily or in person before this Court and set her at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to produce the detenue Nivetha, wife of A.Anadhan, aged about 25 years, bodily or in person before this Court and set her at liberty.

It is the case of the petitioner that he got married to one Nivetha, but, did not disclose the marriage to anyone and that Nivetha is in the illegal custody of the third respondent. 3.

In our opinion, a writ of habeas corpus cannot be issued, inasmuch as we are not satisfied with the assertion of the petitioner that Nivetha is his wife.
