The relief sought by the petitioner in this writ petition is to direct the first respondent to grant trade licence for running a SPA under the name and style of M/s.Veda Wellness Center Saloon & SPA in the premises namely No.2/789, Kazura Garden 1st street, Neelankarai, Chennai 600 115 to the petitioner by directing the respondents 5 and 6 to issue No objection certificate pursuant to the application of the petitioner dated 20.12.2024.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has applied for a trade license on 20.12.2024, submitting a lease agreement, a No Objection Certificate from the property owner, and an existing license from the fourth respondent to operate M/s. Veda Wellness Center Saloon and SPA at Neelankarai, Chennai, for four years. On 28.12.2024, the second respondent requested the respondents 3 & 5 to issue the license and NOC within 60 and 30 days, respectively, failing which it would be deemed approved. Despite granted No Objection Certificate on 30.01.2025, the respondents delayed issuing the trade license, preventing the petitioner from running the business, leading to this writ petition. Learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 has submitted a proceedings of the second respondent vide R.D.C.No.TL/8157/2024 dated 01.03.2025, wherein it is stated that the license application of the petitioner will be issued once the demand amount of Rs.75,000/- is paid to the second respondent.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

5. In view of the submission made by the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 3, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed. 18.03.2025 vm Index :
