Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the 1st respondent to transfer the investigation in Crime No.611 of 2018, pending on the file of 2nd respondent to the 3rd respondent or some other agency in the same District.

ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a transfer of investigation in Cr.No.611 of 2018, pending on the file of the 2nd respondent.
2.The husband of the petitioner met with a road accident on 05.12.2018 and inspite of treatment being given, he died on 08.12.2018. An FIR came to be registered by the respondent Police against an unknown vehicle and it was taken up on file as a hit and run case.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that already seven witnesses have been examined by the Investigating Officer and the investigation is still in progress. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor assures this Court that investigation will progress effectively and all steps will be taken to find out the offending vehicle. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the first respondent viz; the Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore to monitor the investigation conducted by the 2nd respondent in Cr.No.611 of 2018. The 2nd respondent shall proceed with the investigation effectively and will take all steps to find out the offending vehicle and the accused person who had caused the death of the husband of the petitioner, by driving the vehicle in rash and negligent manner.
This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
