ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to quash the proceedings of the respondent in O.Mu.4428/2021/A2, dated 9.10.2021 and for a consequential direction to the 1/4

respondent to correct the name of the petitioner's husband as Ravikumar instead of Ravichandran in the death certificate registered by the respondent dated 14.07.2011, registration No.21/2011.

It is the case of the petitioner that her husband died in the year 2011 and the death certificate was issued by the respondent, in which her husband name was wrongly mentioned as Ravichandran instead of Ravikumar. Seeking to correct the name of petitioner's husband in the death certificate issued by the respondent, she approached the respondent, however, her request was rejected by the respondent vide proceedings dated 09.10.2021 and was directed to change her husband's name by giving Gazette Notification. Challenging the same the present writ petition has been filed.

When the matter is taken up for hearing learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submitted the proceedings of the respondent / Tahsildar dated 18.04.2023, wherein it was stated that the petitioner's husband's name was corrected in the death certificate as Ravikumar from Ravichandran and a copy of the same was also submitted before this Court on 19.04.2023. Hence, the prayer sought for in the writ 2/4

petition is complied with and no further adjudication is necessary in this writ petition.

Though the petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking to quash the proceedings of the respondent in O.Mu.4428/2021/A2, dated 9.10.2021 and for a consequential direction to the respondent to correct the name of the petitioner's husband as Ravikumar instead of Ravichandran in the death certificate registered by the respondent dated 14.07.2011, registration No.21/2011, however, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent at the time arguments submitted the proceedings of the respondent / Tahsildar dated 18.04.2023 before the Court, wherein it is clear that the above said correction has been effected in the death certificate and a copy of the same was also annexed along with the proceedings dated 18.04.2023. Hence, no further adjudication is necessary in this writ petition.
