Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to consider the representation made by the petitioner for issuance of the Ryotwari Patta for the land in R.S.No.79/1 measuring an extent of 1.83.00 Hec situated at Polavapalayam Village, Nambiyur Taluk, Erode District, which is pending before the 1st respondent herein in O.Mu.5102/2022/A3 and the 2nd respondent herein in Na Ka No.3359/2022/A3 and grant Ryotwari Patta within a time frame to fixed by this Court.

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents, particularly, the first respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner wherein the petitioner is seeking for issuance of Ryotwari Patta with respect to the subject property.
2. Heard Mr.V.P.Sengottuvel, learned Senior Counsel appearing for petitioner and Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents.
3. Based on the materials placed before this Court and on considering the submissions made by the learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner, when the matter came up on 01.04.2025, this Court directed the learned Additional Government Pleader to take instructions. Accordingly, the matter was listed for hearing today.
4. Learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the application submitted by the petitioner will be 2/4
processed and that some time is required since some of the old files are yet to be traced.
5. Considering the submissions made on either side and the materials placed before this Court and also considering the fact that Ryotwari Patta has already been granted to similarly placed persons by the first respondent, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to deal with the application submitted by the petitioner and pass necessary orders within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
