Padhma that she belongs to Kurichchan (ST) Community based upon the application and sworn in affidavit of the petitioner dated 25.05.2015 by following the guidelines issued by the Supreme Court in the case of Kumari Madhuri Patil and another - V. - Additional Commissioner, Tribal Development, reported in AIR 1995 SC 94. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by SATISH K. AGNIHOTRI, J.) This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a direction to the respondent to issue social status certificate to the daughter of the petitioner viz., M. Padhma that she belongs to Kurichchan (ST) Community based upon her application and sworn in affidavit of the petitioner dated 25.05.2015 by following the guidelines issued by the Supreme Court in the case of Kumari Madhuri Patil and another - V. - Additional Commissioner, Tribal Development Department1.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the sole respondent submits that the petitioner has made an application on 25.05.2015 before the 1AIR 1995 SC 94.

respondent/competent officer for issuance of social status certificate/ community certificate.

3. It appears that the case of the petitioner is supported by a social status certificate/community certificate issued in his favour by order dated 02.07.1980.

4. In that view of the matter, the respondent/ authority is directed to consider the petitioner's application in the light of the certificate issued to the petitioner and necessary certificate may be issued after proper verification and enquiry, as required for issuance of the certificate, within a reasonable time. 5.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
