ORDER
The petitioner was a part-time Village Munsif in the year 1976. The said post was abolished pursuant to the policy decision of the Government of Tamil Nadu on 14.11.1980. Thereafter, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
petitioner was selected and appointed as Village Administrative Officer on 22.08.1994. He joined duty on 22.08.1994. But, the probation of the petitioner was declared by G.O.(D) No.434, Revenue [Ser.7(1)] Department, dated 13.10.2009 w.e.f. 04.02.2003. The grievance of the petitioner is that when the declaration of probation in the case of his juniors were done on completion of their two years of service, he was declared probation only in the year 2003. The petitioner made a representation dated 22.04.2015 to the 1st respondent to issue an appropriate order declaring probation as done in the case of similarly placed persons w.e.f. 22.08.1994. In support of his claim, the petitioner in his representation has cited various Government Orders and the judgements of this court. Since there was no response from the 1st respondent to the representation made by the petitioner, he has come forward with this writ petition.
2. I have heard the submissions made on either side.
3. In view of the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.04.2015 on merits and in accordance with law in the light of the various Government Orders and the Judgements referred to by the petitioner in his representation and to pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
