ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to remove the videos of the petitioner in all the social platforms and websites based on the petitioner's complaint dated 05.03.2024.

2. The case of the petitioner is that, he is residing at Plot No.9, Anantham Nagar, Goparasanallur, Kattupakkam and he is working as a Manager in AKZO Nobel Limited, Goparasanallur. One of his co-tenant, namely Bipin Joseph have taken the videos of the petitioner and his wife in his mobile and uploaded the same in the social media. For removal of the same, the petitioner has made a complaint before the 1st respondent on 05.03.2024, however till date, the videos were not removed from the social media. Hence, the petitioner has filed the above writ petition.

3. Though very many grounds have been raised in the above writ petition, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to remove the videos in all the social platforms and websites based on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 05.03.2024, within a specified time. 4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that, the respondents are taking effective steps to remove the videos and he assured that videos will be removed as early as possible.

5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the complaint given by the petitioner, dated 05.03.2024 and take appropriate steps to remove the videos of the petitioner and his wife from all the social media, in accordance with law, within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
