ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by C.V.Karthikeyan J.) This petition has been filed seeking permission to the petitioner to withdraw the amount of Rs.1,29,67,053/- deposited by the 1st respondent to the credit of L.A.O.P.No.25 of 2012 on the file of the VI Assistant City Civil Judge, Chennai, consequent to the directions of this Court dated 11.12.2023 in C.M.P.No.25077 of 2023.

2.We have heard the learned Government Counsel for the 1st respondent, who affirmed that the said amount had been deposited. 3.In the affidavit filed in support of this petition, it had been stated that by the direction of this Court dated 11.12.2023, the aforesaid amount which is 50% of the award had been directed to be deposited. It had been stated that the petitioner is an aged person and has health ailments and requires continuous medical care.

4.In view of the said fact, this petition stands allowed. The petitioner is permitted to withdraw the amount deposited together with accrued interest, if any, by taking out appropriate steps before the trial Court. (C.V.K.,J.) (K.R.S.,J.) 16-06-2026 smv
