Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of Mandamus to direct the 3rd respondent to consider petitioner's representation dated 17.12.2014 and consequently direct the 3rd respondent to include petitioner's candidature for the "C" List of Sub-Inspectors for promotion as Inspectors of Police for the year 2014-15 as called for by the 3rd respondent in RC.No.171700/NGB I (1)/2014 dated 07.11.2014 and declare "C" List and grant all consequential service and monetary benefits. O R D E R

The petitioners are presently working as Sub-Inspector of Police. The next avenue of promotion is to the post of Inspector of Police. Since the petitioners were not sent for training along with other candidates selected for the year 2001-02, they have given a representation to the third respondent. The present request is to direct the third respondent to consider the said representation dated 17.12.2014 on merits.

2. The third respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation dated 17.12.2014 on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
