ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent not to harass the petitioners except due process of law.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the 2nd respondent police, on the complaint of one Geetha, has been calling the petitioners at odd hours. The petitioners are respected citizens in the locality. The repeated call by the police for enquiry cause great hardship to their reputation and well-being. Hence, this petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submitted that one Geetha had lodged a complaint and C.S.R.No.37 of 2026 was assigned. The petitioners had allegedly cheated Geetha to the tune of Rs.8,00,000/- and also collected 96 grams of jewels. Both the petitioners were called for enquiry and they agreed to settle the dispute with Geetha. Thereafter, the CSR was closed.
