The petitioner seeks a Mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 20.02.2017. 2.Heard Mr.M.A.R.Praghash, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Srinivas, learned standing counsel for respondent.

3.Admitted facts are that as against the special notice issued by the Commissioner, Pammal Municipality, proposing a property tax assessment in respect of the half year commencing on 01.10.2015, the petitioner has filed objections/appeal on 20.02.2017 before the Municipal Commissioner, Pammal Municipality.

Despite several reminders on 20.09.2017, 17.05.2018, 16.07.2018, there has been no response or any move to dispose of the appeal. A legal notice also issued on 11.02.2019 in this regard that has also not evoked any response. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Hence the present Writ Petition.

4.Since the limited prayer is for a mandamus to the respondents to dispose of the appeal, the prayer is granted in the light of the pendency of the appeal since 20.02.2017. The appeal will be disposed of after hearing the petitioner within a period of four (4) weeks' from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
