The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the 1st respondent herein to sanction the pension for petitioner claim application forwarded through 2nd respondent on 28.11.2017.

2. In respect of the relief sought for the learned counsel for the respondents furnished the copy of the proceedings dated 03.01.2020, wherein, the Accountant General of Tamil Nadu considered the case of the writ petitioner and granted pension with effect from 22.11.2017. Based on the order passed, the petitioner is now receiving family pension.

3. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioner is entitled for the pension with retrospective effect and in this regard, he has already filed a writ petition in the year 2020. Thus, the petitioner is at liberty to pursue the grounds in the said writ petition.
