ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to issue separate patta to an extent of 1.03 acres of land in S.No.645/1A, Vegakollai, Siruthondamadevi Village, Cuddalore district to the petitioner.

2. According to the petitioner, earlier petitioner's father one Arokiyasami was granted assignment to the extent of 2.30 acres land in Survey No.645/1A, Vegakollai, Siruthondamadevi Village, Cuddalore District. Thereafter, patta was granted only to an extent of 1.27 acres to the petitioner and patta has not been issued for the remaining area. Hence, he made a representation to the respondent on 02.03.2021 to survey the land and issue separate patta to the remaining area to an extent of 1.03 acres. But, so far no order has been passed. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, on instructions, would submit that only to an extent of 1.30 acres of land was allotted to the petitioner's father Arokiyasami. Now, the petitioner is seeking 2.30 acres of land. She would further submit that enquiry is fixed on 05.05.2021, and the petitioner may be directed to appear for enquiry.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, and the petitioner's representation dated 02.03.2021 is pending with the respondent and enquiry has already been commenced, the respondent is directed to proceed with the enquiry and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, thereafter.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
