The petitioners seek for quashing of the F.I.R. in Crime No.417 of 2022 for the alleged offences under Section 308 of I.P.C. read with Sections 184, 185, 199 A and 181 (4) of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioners and the second respondent have arrived at a compromise by which the second respondent has agreed not to press the allegations in the F.I.R. and prayed for quashing of the F.I.R.
3. The petitioners and the second respondent are present in person. Mr.J. Serma Ravi, Head Constable - 26973, J-2, Adyar Traffic Investigator East Wing, Chennai - 90 has confirmed the identity of the parties. Both the parties have filed a compromise Memo, signed by them as well as by the counsels. The said compromise Memo is taken on record.
4. In view of the compromise, no useful purpose will be served in keeping the F.I.R. pending. The impugned F.I.R. is hereby quashed and the petition is allowed.
