Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 1st respondent to consider the complaint dated 01.03.2025 and provide necessary police protection to perform the Maasi festival to the A/m Shri Maha Sakthi Kaliyamman temple from 25.03.2025 to 05.04.2025. O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the

first respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner, seeking police protection to perform the Maasi Festival at Arulmighu Shri Maha Sakthi Kaliyamman Temple scheduled to be held from 25.03.2025 to 05.04.2025.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the first respondent. Perused the materials available on record.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the first respondent would submit that there is a dispute between the petitioner and the second respondent with regard to conduct of the festival to the Arulmighu Shri Maha Sakthi Kaliyamman Temple from 25.03.2025 to 05.04.2025. On receipt of the said complaint, the first respondent has already referred the matter to the Revenue Divisional Officer to convene a meeting between the parties

4. Recording the said submission, this Writ Petition is closed. However, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Salem is directed to complete the enquiry, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the

petitioner and the second respondent, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
