(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This application has been filed by the applicant to extend the period to deposit a sum of Rs.28 lakh, for which an order was passed on 17.09.2021.

2. Learned counsel for the applicant submitted that an amount of Rs.28 lakh was deposited on 25.11.2021 and due to pandemic, there was a delay in depositing the said amount and therefore, the applicant has filed the application to condone the delay and to extend the period.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the respondent Andhra Bank submits that if the amount of Rs.28 lakh has already been deposited by the applicant pursuant to the order of this Court, possibly, there cannot be any objection for extension of the period. However, he prays that no other order may be passed, other than the extension of

time to deposit the amount till the date the amount was actually deposited.

4. Taking note of the argument of learned counsel for both parties, the period to deposit the amount of Rs.28 lakh is extended by the time it was deposited by the applicant herein. The application is disposed of with the aforesaid. (M.N.B., CJ) (N.M.,J.) 06.06.2022 bbr
