Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein and in particular the 3rd respondent to consider the representation dated 25.09.2017 and to pay the caution deposit of Rs.2,58,800/- payable to the petitioner herein. Mr.P.Arumugarajan, learned standing counsel takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for mandamus directing the respondents, more particularly, the third respondent to consider https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

his representation dated 25.09.2017, wherein and whereby, he sought for refund of caution deposit of Rs.2,56,800/-.

3. Heard both sides.

4. It is claimed by the petitioner that the said amount is liable to be refunded to the petitioner, even after making necessary adjustments in respect of running a bar attached to the liquor shop. Making such claim, the petitioner has already filed a representation before the third respondent on 25.09.2017. The grievance of petitioner is that the said representation is yet to be considered.

5. Therefore, without expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of, by directing the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.09.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
