This application has been filed for the extension of the Mandate of the Arbitrator.

2. The learned counsel for the applicant would submit that the Mandate of the Arbitrator was expired on 08.01.2023 Therefore, the present application came to be filed.

3. After the filing of this application, notice was ordered to the respondent and the name of the respondent was also printed in the cause list. However, there is no representation on behalf of the respondent, which shows that the respondent is not interested in contesting this matter.

4. Upon hearing the learned counsel for the applicant and perusing the affidavit filed in support of this application, this Court is satisfied with the reasons stated therein and is inclined to extend the Mandate of the Arbitrator by 12 months.

5. Accordingly, the Mandate of the Arbitrator is extended for a period of 12 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order by the learned Arbitrator and this application is ordered as prayed for.
