Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner for the post of Sub Inspector, Tamil Nadu Police, under the Sports Category including as called for by the fourth respondent under Notification No.1 of 2015 dated 08.02.2015 by exempting the petitioner from the condition pertaining to upper age limit of 45 years and discharge within 3 years from defence service from the date of notification including as set out in Clause 9-A (i) of the said Notification or in the alternative direct the respondents to provide the petitioner with a job commensurate with his achievements and qualifications.

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner for the post of Sub Inspector, Tamil Nadu Police, under the Sports Category including as called for by the fourth respondent under Notification No.1 of 2015 dated 08.02.2015 by exempting the petitioner from the condition pertaining to upper age limit of 45 years and

discharge within 3 years from defence service from the date of notification including as set out in Clause 9-A (i) of the said Notification or in the alternative direct the respondents to provide the petitioner with a job commensurate with his achievements and qualifications.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that this Writ Petition itself has become infructuous and he has made an endorsement to that effect in the Court record.

3. Recording the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. No costs. 27.09.2023 Index:Yes/No kv
