WP 8739/2017 is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Declaration, declaring the cutoff date for upper age limit for appointment to the post of Grade-II Police Constables (AR & TSP), Jail Warder and Fireman for the year 2016 as 1st July 2017 as null and void and further declare the cutoff date for upper age limit for appointment to the post of Grade-II Police Constables (AR & TSP), Jail Warder and Fireman for the year 2016 as 1st July 2016 as per the Special Rules for Tamil Nadu Subordinate Service and further direct the respondents to permit the petitioners to participate in the selection process.

WP 4273/2017 is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified

Mandamus, calling for the records namely the Notification and quash the Notification vide Advertisement No.117, Exam Notification No.1, General Exam-2017 issued by the second respondent and issue a fresh Notification by incorporating the maximum age as per the 2011 Notification as Most Backward Category (MBC Community) as 28 years and Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST Community) as 30 years there by making eligible for several aspirants waiting to join the Uniform Police Force pending since 2011 without any recruitment.
