The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offense punishable under Section 498(A) of IPC and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, in Crime No. Not known of 2020, seeks anticipatory bail.
2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent Police submitted that the petition enquiry in C.S.R.No.111 of 2020 is pending against the petitioners. 3.The learned Counsel for the petitioners submitted that the respondent police is harassing the petitioners under the guise of enquiry.
1. Considering the facts and circumstances, the respondent police is directed to conduct the enquiry and if any prima facie case is made out against the petitioner, register the F.I.R or close the petition enquiry within a period of four weeks from today and report before this Court on 10.07.2020.
