Writ Petition filed under Section Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to take action to resume monthly pension of Rs.1,000/- under the Social Security Scheme - Indira Gandhi National Pension Scheme for physically handicapped (PHP/1389) and consequently, release the pending pension amount for the period from February 2017 to till date by dispensing with Aadhaar requirement of the petitioner.

2. Heard both sides.

The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus to direct the respondents to take action to resume monthly pension of Rs.1,000/- under the Social Security Scheme - Indira Gandhi National Pension Scheme for physically handicapped (PHP/1389) and consequently, release the pending pension amount for the period from February, 2017 to till date by dispensing with Aadhaar requirement of the petitioner.
4. It is stated that the petitioner was paid monthly pension of Rs.1,000/- under the Social Security Scheme viz., Indira Gandhi National Pension Scheme for Physically Handicapped. However, it is stated that the said monthly pension was stopped from the month of February, 2017, abruptly without any reason.
5. Learned Additional Government Pleader, based on instruction, submitted that the petitioner is a disabled person, having multiple disabilities and entitled to get pension continuously. He further submitted that continuing to pay the pension is under process.
6. Considering the above stated facts and circumstances, more particularly, the undisputed fact that the petitioner is entitled to get pension under the above said Scheme and that the pension was stopped abruptly from the month of February, 2017, this Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the respondents to pay the pension to the petitioner continuously as has been done earlier. The arrears of pension shall also be paid at his door steps within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
