PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to issue a direction to conduct the investigation and file a final report within stipulated period by securing the white colour car which was involved in the accident in Crime No.74 of 2021.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent police to investigate the Crime No.74 of 2021 and to file a final report within a stipulated time frame, or any other orders as this Court may deem fit and proper under the circumstances of the above case.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though the second respondent has registered a case in the above said crime number, no final report is filed till date.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the second respondent police may be permitted to file a final report within a period of three months.

5.In view of the above, the second respondent police is directed to either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under due intimation to the defacto complainant.

6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
