ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.927 of 2017 on the file of Fast Track Mahila Court, Vellore District.

The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Without any base, the first respondent police registered a case in Crime No.342 of 2016 for the offences under Section 302 of IPC, as against the petitioner and filed final report in C.C.No.927 of 2017 on the file of Fast Track Mahila Court, Vellore District. Hence, he prayed to quash the same.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the investigation is almost completed and the trial is pending.

Heard both sides and perused the records.

Considering the fact and circumstances of this case, there is no merits in this Criminal Original Petition, since the petitioner charged for the offence under Section 302 of IPC. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.927 of 2017 on the file of Fast Track Mahila Court, Vellore District. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
