Mr.P.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 & 4. Mr.Karthikei Balan, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents 2 & 3. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
2. The petitioner is a retired professor of Forensic Medicine. He made a representation for revision of pension in the light of G.O.Ms.No.236, Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 12.07.2018. The same was also forwarded by the third respondent to the second respondent for appropriate orders. It is further submitted that all the similarly placed persons have been given the benefit of revision of pension. The representation of the petitioner for revised pension is still pending before the second respondent. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner is before this Court.
3. Heard the submissions made on either side and perused the materials available on record.
4. Considering the limited prayer, a direction is given to the second respondent to dispose of the representation of the writ petitioner dated 12.07.2018 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
