ORDER

(Made by Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy, J.) The petitioner is an association of independent rental vehicle owners and drivers. The petitioner complains that private vehicles carrying white boards have been used for election duties by the Department of Revenue and by the Election Commission. According to the petitioner, this is in violation of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, and the rules framed thereunder. In spite of submitting a representation on March 29, 2021 to the first respondent, no action has been taken to remedy the grievance complained, of.

2. Mr.K.S.Suresh, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of all the respondents and submits that the representation of the petitioner would be considered and disposed of by the first respondent.

3. In the aforesaid facts and circumstances, without examining the merits of the matter, the petitioner is permitted to carry a fresh representation to the first respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order by enclosing all the relevant documents. Upon receipt thereof, the first respondent is directed to consider such representation and dispose of the same by a reasoned order, which shall be communicated to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of such representation of the petitioner.

W.P.No.10573 of 2021 is disposed of without any order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.Nos.11166, 11167 and 11169 of 2021 are closed.
