PETITION under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the first respondent to produce the detenue in person or body of the petitioner's wife Gomathi, aged about 26 years and his son G.Mittran, aged about 1 year before this Court and restore them to the custody of the petitioner.

(Order of the Court was made by NOOTY.RAMAMOHANA RAO,J) After generating debate for a while at the bar, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the writ petition. He has also made an endorsement on the bundle today to that effect.

2. Accordingly, the above habeas corpus petition is dismissed as withdrawn. However, it goes without saying that liberty is preserved to the writ petitioner to pursue the other remedies available to him under law.
