Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Tiruvallur to pass an order on the petition filed on 25.10.2023 u/s. 14(1) of the SARFAESI Act, 2002.

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.M.Ajmal Azzath, learned counsel for the petitioner.

2. It is submitted that the petitioner has filed an application under Section 14 of the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 bearing No.144 of 2024 before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Tiruvallur and the same is not yet decided.

3. We are not aware of the number of cases pending before the concerned Chief Judicial Magistrate. The petitioner may make an application to the concerned court to decide the said application expeditiously. The concerned Chief Judicial Magistrate shall consider the application filed by the petitioner for expeditious disposal on its own merits.

4. The writ petition, accordingly, stands disposed of. There shall be no orders as to costs.
