Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents as this Hon'ble Curt may deem fit and proper and issue patta in the petitioner's favour with respect to the property situated at Natham S.No.656/4, which was previously included in the large extent of the Village Natham No.613/1, Nedunkunram Village, Vandalur Taluk (erstwhile Chengalpattu Taluk) Chengalpattu District (erstwhile Kanchipuram District), which is included in the erstwhile S.No.613/1 and which was specifically assigned with Plot Nos. 101/A, and 101/B to an extent of 10 cents in Nedunkunram Village, Vandalur Taluk (erstwhile Chengalpattu Taluk), Chengalpattu District (erstwhile Kanchipuram District).

(The case has been heard through video conference) This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation for granting patta.
2. The grievance of the petitioner is that, originally, the land in dispute was assigned to the petitioner's vendors, and thereafter, during the natham settlement scheme, and the above land was classified as natham. Subsequently, the petitioner has purchased the land and made a representation to the 3rd respondent Tahsildar for issuance of patta. So far, his representation was not considered and no order has been passed. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner.
3. Today, when the matter taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondent would submit that now, the enquiry is scheduled to be held on 17.05.2021.
4. Considering the above circumstances, as the enquiry was already commenced, the 3rd respondent Tahsildar is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner and pass suitable orders on merits in accordance with law after giving opportunity to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
