Respondent Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner representation dated 11.5.2015 pass an order and demarcate vacant land situated in Vellanur Village measuring an extent of 31 cents comprised in Survey No.434/6C of Morai Village Ambattur Taluk to measure and fix the boundaries.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims that her husband is the owner of the land admeasuring to an extent of 31 cents in S.No.434/6C, Morai Village, Ambattur Taluk, Thiruvallur District and after his demise, she succeeded to the said estate and the neighbouring owners tried to encroach into the said property to an extent of 2 feet for the purpose of putting up the fence and in this regard, she has submitted an application dated 21.05.2015 to the respondent praying for measurement and putting up the boundary stone and since, she has not been favoured with any response, came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.D.Senthil Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the respondent to consider the representation/application dated 21.05.2015, submitted by the petitioner, in accordance with law, after putting on notice the persons concerned and pass orders as expeditiously as possible and not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and inform the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned.
