By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner claims to be the President of the festival committee of Sri Marrriamman Temple situated at X-Gopithampati Papirattipatti Taluk Dharmapuri District. He submitted a representation/application dated 08.06.2015 to the 2nd respondent, seeking permission to conduct a cultural program on 18.06.2015, in connection with the temple festival, which includes song and dance programme and since, he has not been favoured with any kind of response, came forward to file this writ petition.
3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that in the event of permission being granted to conduct the song and dance programme, there will not be any law and order problem https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
and no vulgarity or obscenity will be there and hence, prays for appropriate orders.
4. This Court heard the submissions of Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondents.
5. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the application/representation, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the application/representation dated 08.06.2015, in accordance with law and pass orders, as expeditiously as possible and not later than 17.06.2015 and inform the decision taken to the petitioner forthwith.
