This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to act upon the online application submitted by the petitioner on 03.03.2025 wherein the petitioner has sought for survey of the subject property and for demarcation of boundaries.

2. Heard Mr.S.Lakshmi Narayanan, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondent.

3. The petitioner is relying upon the sale deed dated 29.05.1990 and also the joint patta issued in the name of the petitioner in Patta No.56. The petitioner wanted a survey to be conducted in the subject property for demarcation of boundaries. Accordingly, an application was submitted by paying necessary charges on 03.03.2025. Since the same was not acted upon, the present writ petition has been filed.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the respondent to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner on 03.03.2025 and survey the subject property and demarcate the boundaries in line with the title deed and joint patta that stands in the name of the petitioner. This process shall be completed within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If there are any rival claims, such survey shall be conducted in their presence. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
